More than a journey...

My transformation was

dramatic like cloudbursts.

Melting into you,

romance’s endurance

was perplexing.

In the stillness of the nights,

Love spoke through

queries and sighs.

Through my endless patience,

I was more than a traveler.

love in all of its twists, turns and complexities. never an easy journey but well worth the trip when we arrive. maybe someday someone will come out with a gps for navigating it. great imagery.

This whole poem feels like a adventure. I can’t explain it, but somehow you seemed to fit so much emotion and story in a poem not too long. And the metaphor of ‘being a traveler’ was genius in my eyes. You hear lots of metaphors of true love(s) being home, but I love the idea of traveling for so long, through so many others until you finally find a place to stay. The way you did it was just so creative and beautifully written. Thank you so much for sharing.
