A nightmarish relationship...

I asked for a glass of water

You offered me a glass of poison

I drank it cheerfully

Then succumbed to a bitter death.

I woke up in another nightmare

The glass was half empty!

Some say the glass is half empty. Some say it is half full. Some say it's time to order another round. No matter what category you find yourself in, you can't please them all, all of the time. Watch out for the poison drinks and poison pens; they're generally failed miracle workers trying to turn water to wine but, having failed at that, they go through life spitting their vinegar onto the dreams of others. Perhaps a cup of chamomile might sooth your dreams a bit. You're always a pleasure to read Sami. F.
