Snow WhiteA Poem by Sami KhalilA frozen dream.Snow White
by Sami S. Khalil A frozen dream Held in vivid cerise, Snow White’s asleep Fashioned beauty in rosy slumber’s deep Bedaubed face no awry eyes squinting Tangling up my sanity, gently gripping. Fires spit and flare up aside warm drifts Winded runners shaken to cores’ gifts Dazzling Christmas ornaments with embers As moonlights dance around starry splendors. Edges charred like ashen hearts burn slowly And snow draping barren branches wholly I lingered in her golden strands muffled Wrapped in gloved silence hazily baffled. Ensorcelled with, uttering magical spells Awakened fleeting notions of wedding bells. © 2020 Sami KhalilReviews
