MermaidA Poem by Sami KhalilSink or swim in love. Despair and hope. Vision and mission.Mermaid by
Sami S. Khalil A new form Sonnet While I at sea … the sky painted so blue With chills belie, the warm sunlights accrue My mind begged to quell inklings laid bare Grasping memories of shadows with flair Wherein fallow hearts search for repose Heavy curtains of love on gray throes For some things won’t die so through misgiving Pain does pierce the lost soul in boats drifting Lo and behold, hope did drape me promptly When I saw the “Mermaid” swimming aptly Harbinger of sanguine mercy bathing A fairy tale, a cosmic star ... searching I fell headlong in her beauty and song We found freedom flitting where dreams belong © 2020 Sami KhalilReviews
