In Wisdom or Fatuity      by Sami Khalil

Adrift on the frontier of quietude’s coldish verities.

Wading through the choreography of nature’s nestling fracas.

Tangled among the vernal freshness of foliage jiffs.

Shadowed by the translucent spirit of fossilized memories.

Walking away from the afterglow of weary, amber years.

Tying together spent years in guffawing flashbacks.

Chasing flood-washed lands drenched by monsoon rains.

Caressing happenstance between spicy kisses and predators’ mouths.

Crooning sanguineous hearts stalwart to cradled musings and tonality.

Measuring life’s equations, taking inventory of its illusive books.

Tossing pebbles in still waters to witness stretched spherules.

Sculpting validations out of supernal, winner options.

Catching trains chasing themselves in steam-driven intrepid thoughts.

In wisdom or fatuity,

I’m writing my own drama!

You take me into a rollercoaster inside yourself, letting me feel and see some wounds and shadows within and what they pictured of you, a beautiful hurricane of emotions and vivid memories, your drama, and nothing you would change of it because it enriched you to be You

dearest Sami... you have a language that transports me to a field of wild flowers and a path into the woods where moss grows beneath each tree and birds flutter and sing songs of romantic rhapsodies. truly blessed are you.

Chinese proverb, living in interesting times , seem apt, as usual most of the words are foreign, but a great lesson , take care stay safe.

natures coldness, she is turning her back on our silly nature to fight amongst ourselves at a time when
we must all work together, just as all the forces of nature seem to...there is no unison now...
only ugly weeds of dissonance growing through a sod that is unfortunately basked in hate at a time we need to love even if it is from our isolation.

that's what happens when poets reflect :) what a nice dish of language sir! the proclivities of the loosened nog rend so many curtains ... dare, perhaps, when it shouldn't ... lots to think about in your poem on folly .. i like the change between title and closing ("or" to "of") you meant it that way i am sure ... and how wise it is to see our fatuity ... the dichotomy astounding ;)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) i like it! Happy Easter Celebration my friend!

L2 & L4 are off-the-charts well-crafted! This has a similar sound to the way Bad Bunny (Rob) writes some of his stuff & I have called him out for "mental masturbation" becuz he is making love to his unusual complex words, rather than trying to convey a message to the common masses who do not understand half these words without googling. Herein lies my dilemma. I also love to make love to unusual complex words that nobody has ever heard of & I've also had my writing compared to The Bunny. I guess we should just schedule a big long complex-word orgy for those of us who get off on this sort of complexity. Sinister Potatoe is another complex writer I love, but many cannot understand. Pardon my tangent . . . bottom line . . . love your poem becuz sometimes a field of words that flabbergast can be as graphically stimulating as the more sensory kind of word stimulation! Here's wishing you & your loved ones all the best this Easter (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
