Valentine…By Sami Khalil

I’m free to admire,

with limpid eyes, most satisfying, most fitting,

accessible without exploitation, the confluence of

quotidian yet timeless beauty with frisky charms.

Free to battle and win,

over the sea of emotions, your threaded mystery,

swelling then washing over my concomitant dreams,

to disentangle this spellbound loyalty from the cobwebs.

In no hesitant eagerness, I simply tend to love you,

with enthused stir, for simplicity is loftier all the while,

wanting to seal your lips at ease, by virtue of solitary whispers.

I’m free to cast as a whole, frissons of things that bind us,

like intimate thoughts, privy of fragile expressions in any language for my language is spoiled, ready for your translation, without recants.

You have stretched my desires to verses, then to oeuvres, borrowing variations of ecstasy as simple tools. My creative urges had found many outlets.

I’m free from the cusp of rationale, illegible to human scales, although some vocabulary of concreteness may seem very familiar.

I’m free to believe, in the religion of love, we are most satisfying, most fitting.

Firstly, Sami, your graphic tells more than it might.. it lures and that was what you wanted, perhaps searched for!

As always you create a style of poetry that defies a slot in 'How To.. ' i think of Persian writers, of how they wrote - way back in history, of marauders who learned to lay down their weapons and sleep with gentle beings with hearts so pure they became dove-like, '.. for simplicity is loftier all the while, .. '

At it's finest and most unselfish, giving and sharing Love is divine. That excludes the hypocrisy of wanting to be part of it so much it becomes a demand, a right.

How rich is this, how real, how spiritual yet earthbound in belief, '.. frissons of things that bind us, - like intimate thoughts - privy of fragile expressions in any language - for my language is spoiled, ready for your translation - without recants.' . Mystical, magical, marvelous, Sami.

Perhaps love can be felt as a religious experience sometimes.

I have to agree with Jacob. Your lines touched on the spiritual to me. I love your use of language here Sami. Interesting words like frisson and limpid. Your posted artwork a delight and I thoroughly approve of your Valentine. Lovely work my friend.Nothing like a touch of romance to warm a cold day up, and it is cold here.

i like where this goes...above the physical to the metaphysical of love beyond the earthly realities of it, to the spiritual-ness of what it really is...
the intangibles of it...

Romance expressed superbly! " ...Your threaded mystery, swelling then washing over my concomitant dreams, to disentangle this spellbound loyalty from the cobwebs." Loved your choice of phrases to compose this valentine treat. You make your reader believe in the religion of love forever, dear Sami.
