ValentineA Poem by Sami KhalilRomance...Valentine…By Sami Khalil I’m free to admire, with limpid eyes, most satisfying, most fitting, accessible without exploitation, the confluence
of quotidian yet timeless beauty with frisky charms.
Free to battle and win, over the sea of emotions, your threaded mystery, swelling then washing over my concomitant dreams, to disentangle this spellbound loyalty from the
cobwebs. In no hesitant eagerness, I simply tend to love
you, with enthused stir, for simplicity is loftier all
the while, wanting to seal your lips at ease, by virtue of
solitary whispers. I’m free to cast as a whole, frissons of things
that bind us, like intimate thoughts, privy of fragile expressions
in any language for my language is spoiled, ready for your translation, without
recants. You have stretched my desires to verses, then to
oeuvres, borrowing variations of ecstasy as simple tools. My creative urges had found many outlets. I’m free from the cusp of rationale, illegible to
human scales, although some vocabulary of concreteness may seem very familiar. I’m free to believe, in the religion of love, we
are most satisfying, most fitting. © 2019 Sami KhalilReviews
