Sleepless HorizonsA Poem by Sami KhalilSomething prompted me...Sleepless Horizons By Sami Khalil Shuddered in the blazing shards of pleasure,
reborn after the inviting fires, remnants of distant silences ended in grey
words. Rivers floated, but in way wards of muddy
testaments. The soul of the desert invited remembrances of its eerie shadows by
way of awkward rebellions. In my gentle rest, I pushed away the clouds and
rains, after the sighting of many elongated rainbows. The mist of mornings recovered my sleepless
worries from the swooning of last traipsing. Memories swooped me up, beaming
with smiles of drifting hearts through placid lakes. Every pulse of reality held eminence, crossing
the theatres of forgotten corners. Days melted away like soft butter when I beheld
treasures of an infinite realm. It was the delicate kiss before sunrise,
self-realized. The cloth of regrets, that dabbed those eyes of sleepless horizons, whitewashed its soft cotton. Time of new harvest is at hand. سامي خليل © 2018 Sami KhalilReviews
