Winter's BalladA Poem by Sami KhalilSome cold memories...Winter’s Ballad By
Sami Khalil Carried away-by old songs, Safe from wind and tides. My space had become; a society of lost whispers. Fabric of my being; a meadow of fabled memories. Ever present, page after page, Bare desires had an artistic flare, Parting plays of single heartaches, Breathing the passions of nights oblivion. I left some doors ajar, to grab the sighs of
nature’s ballads… Beyond the veils, life smiled with daring faces;
white teeth of reality. Dreams whistled a tune, along the path of
prismatic stars. Beyond kisses soft, beams left evidences of
traceable love, Where embers lingered in the stray moments, Painted, teased, burned and kept in the lockets
of the now and forevermore. Carried away-by old songs, Safe from wind and tides, lying in the fox’s position to keep me warm, Silence, in rainbow colors, was left dormant! Snow had covered the ground. © 2018 Sami KhalilReviews
