I always say that the hardest is not to forgive someone, but to forgive Your own self, in Your poem I saw two things, first a drama I watched few years ago under the same name (Forgiveness), the amount of inner human emotions in this drama is very deep, very dense, it speaks of two lovers whom got married, the wife cheated on her husband, though he did forgive her, but she couldn't forgive her own self, and they got the divorce, the second thing, I see something beyond, something of Wars and how the fighting groups can or can't have forgiveness to each others, I feel a raging tune through Your words that actually wants... needs to convey its message.

Both cases it can happen. How many nations were bitter enemies in history and now they are allies. How many husbands or wives forgave each other. Very hard to do but in changing circumstances and with good wills, they are doable. Thank you so much Light for your light.

If only the world would bury its swords....if only. Too often damnation is in the heart instead of forgiveness. Another good one, my friend. Lydi**

Powerful and worthwhile words shared my friend.
"History is clothed
in borrowing shadows,
privileged to the victor."
The above lines. True and honest words. This is our world. Thank you Sami for sharing the amazing poetry. I enjoyed this one.

my sincere thanks for your lovely words, you’re certainly appreciated! :)
Love the imagery...engraved dates, stabbing thorns, borrowing shadows, dust bin of loss, buried swords. I think you are right, when you let go you have to forgive first (and understand your own hurt!). This may be an appropriate poem to read on Valentine's day (today!!!!!!). Although happily married, I will spend time today letting go of past 'loves' who still linger in my heart! Perhaps I had also better bury a few 'swords' that have clashed between my husband and me!

It takes a long, long time even to contemplate forgiving... a monumental time Will be spent on analysis and accusations, distributing blame... taking at least some responsibility is needed before contemplating forgiving!!! Forgiving is a divine act and you have the perfect formula for that kind act.
