The JourneyBy Sami Khalil

Life, death, eternity…

Nothing stands still.

None live in vain.

The humble flame

is ever burning.

The subtle light

is incessantly shinning.

In ageless souls,

purpose and meaning.

Behold the journey;

Just a moment in time,

A predestined meeting.

Behold the dream,

Just a passing sail,

In slumber shades.

But life persists,

Through the constancy,

Through aging faces

Of seasons’ clime.

Though hearts

long to be immortal,

Every waking moment,

A precious gift,

An ambient miracle,

Leaving rippling traces,

Wave after wave,

Melody after melody,

Till our final rest

In heaven’s peace and joys

From endless sailing!

This is a beautiful poem that expresses something I've thought about lately becuz of youthful writing on this website that shows me young people are trying to sort out these very things. In the young person's view, it's often up-close with specific details, whereas your view is more at the mile-high perspective. It's a good message to balance out the seeking I've noticed in some writings here. It's a reassuring message much needed in our current times of strife & tragedy. I like the way you are more subtle in how you express these ideas (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Life sure is a journey to behold. And as you said, every moment is precious. We can't afford to idle our time away by simply doing nothing. Time flies. And never returns. We got to make the best out of our lives and cherish every bit of it.

Deep subject. Excellent assessment. Evocative imagery, spurring contemplations. We are like a leaf from the tree of life. Our consciousness begins when the tree pinches us off, to fall to ground. Our destiny is in the wind. Our end is decay and reassimilation through the tree's roots. Thus is the fall of man. In that short space between limb and lome we are free. Inspiring write.

Wow! I love it. That is so poetic. Gracie Mille.
Sarvavum maya , sarvavum midya, all and everything is an illusion or mirage, this writing is superficially contradictory to that saying but in deeper level same as the saying, this life is a simple journey destined to reach eternal life, great job done poet

Journey of a soul ends when it finally joins the divine spirit or supreme soul (paramatman) till then ... when one journey ends another begins! And your beautiful description of journey is nothing but the truth!
