Sonnet { 1 }A Poem by Sami KhalilPower of love, beauty and words...Sonnet {1} By Sami Khalil
The words of love elude this hapless mind, Where to detest thereon my haunting pleas. What eyes ensnare the hearts of fearless kind, Ere taciturn plotting, a wavering tease?
The words abideth inward, cogently strong, Fidgetly lain nervous henceforth yearning, With tattered hopes forever dwelling long, Misshapen gasps, fecund roses gleaning.
Vigorously bewitching dreams… lovelorn To behold birds abreast in-flight sublime. Alas, my queen thy reign a quest unknown, The pith of beauty sways capricious clime.
In pondering afore, blue skies and breeze, Heaped clouds serenely drift phrases as these!
