Pastiche And Parody

Pastiche And Parody

A Poem by Sami Khalil
"

The cycles and seasons...Can you imitate Nature or understand the cycles...

"

Pastiche And Parody/By Sami Khalil

Death and rebirth of nature’s own

Let me herald or cast sublime, new beginnings

When nature is branded in her refined fashion

And no somber faces, sulking, are taken aback

Mourning demises that lie in stillness of shrouds

Lending miracles, lingering in diaphanous passion.

Let my refuge be anchored in frilled derangements

Setting scenes of recalls and gnarled mind-escapes

Beseech I to reflect on paths drawn in swirling haze

By interlaced summits and lush, felicitous pastures

Stippled not by man, but hands of a benign action.

For, slowly they burst

Into peals of laughter and abundant life

Spring gentle and Summer's insouciance forged

Cicatrices weathered and windblown fast.

And, slowly they perish

With rictus grins and megrims of death pleas

Tatterdemalion of Fall and gelid Winter’s eddies

Pastiche and parody of pert notions past.

Pastiche And Parody"
Sami Khalil,
To be cut loose of the pains which bind the mind and heart, to imagine in a place which asks nothing. This is Nature. It gives and gives and we simply find ourselves free to release whatever we need too or simply to dream. I found myself identifying with the emotion which you give to the reader-me. Thanks so much, it was as if you were sharing your own joy and experience in a natural setting. Was this inspired by a special experience outside.....Blessings to you!.......................Kathy

WOW! Very challenging read, as far as your extensive use of vocabulary. I love it when a writer has such mastery. I am very much taken in by the cycles that occur in nature, & yet your message is so intricately woven, I only get a glimpse or two of this idea. The rest is simply amazing word crafting with tons of imagery & fancy word choices! *smile* Fondly, Margie

The poem is too beautiful.
The way you have expressed how nature born everyday is beautiful and vivid.

Let me herald or cast sublime, new beginnings
When nature is branded in her refined fashion
And no somber faces, sulking, are taken aback
Mourning demises that lie in stillness of shrouds
Lending miracles, lingering in diaphanous passion.

the way you have expressed the way nature refine itself everyday and each and every serious person is not shocked on this and cant see how the sadness of nature's dying is going off and its birth is re-happening again.

Let my refuge be anchored in frilled derangements
Setting scenes of recalls and gnarled mind-escapes
Beseech I to reflect on paths drawn in swirling haze
By interlaced summits and lush, felicitous pastures
Stippled not by man, but hands of a benign action.

the way you have expressed how a mind of a person tries to observe it by becoming oblivion or by escaping from the world and try to move from up to down from high to low on level of mind is smile-bringing-factor.

For, slowly they burst
Into peals of laughter and abundant life
Spring gentle and Summer's insouciance forged
Cicatrices weathered and windblown fast.

the way you have expressed how the nature's parts bring happiness and prosperity in this world just like spring and summer's light should be appreciated.

And, slowly they perish
With rictus grins and megrims of death pleas
Tattermelions of Fall and gelid Winter’s eddies
Pastiche and parody of pert notions past.

The way you ended the poem that how these love bringing factors perished and remain no more and how their the attractive rebirth happens again which is the belief from past of ours.

The poem is worth to read.

Thank you sooo much for sharing. :)

Makes perfect sense, Sami!

The mistresses of the seasons, in all their individuality, frolicking through the days and years of our lives; constant but ever changing in their moods and impact on our Earth.

I don't believe we CAN imitate the seasons personally, but internally and psychologically we are susceptible to their wiles and charms. We rejoice in their arrival, and we mourn for their passing while also knowing that they will again return to us.

A marvellous write as always, Sami. Wondrously languaged and expressed on the page. An excellent poem.
