Welkin's Sun

Welkins’ Sun/…By Sami Khalil

Delightful mornings with the sun…

Onward riseth the fair warmth of a nestled morning sun

Tuneful to suited birds, ladled with merriment and song

Swathed in aura and radiant beams and in lumbered pace

From whence to bide new hopes aglow, and darkness shun.

How gracefully we walketh in heavenly abundance of light

In pure arrays without ire and not to parry thy fiery sword

Whilst frothing clouds dissipate, languishing in wanderlust

To which prim and proper upon quaint hills and deserts flight.

Onward riseth praise proper and yearnings for waning thrones

But those who hath an undying light in moments ascendeth high

Hearkening to knowledge of truth when days of yore weareth not

Shall inheriteth true wealth, beckoning wisdom amid milestones.

Sami, not only do you bring sunbeams to the page and reader's senses, you add a flare that could only be bestowed by your wording :) I am always left stunned, this is prose that saturates a Poet's heart in such light that all shadows of the day are vanquished, gorgeous :)

Wonderful thoughts and so beautifully expressed..
Light, whether it is from outside or from within adds meaning and dimension to our existence.

What I enjoy about your work Sami is the style that harps back to an earlier romantic age. I can hear this being declaimed at a romantic court to the assembled plumaged courtiers.

A beautiful ode to our life-giving star.
This almost feels like drinking from the Sun itself and being drunk on its wonder.
I love the feeling that comes over us when the Sun fills us with it's goodness.
Bravo master poet!
