A romance poem...A sort of a love letter...

A romance poem…

The Poem:

Dancing with vim and vigor,

Long before stars' dim flicker

And the leaves that wither...

Long before the winnowing

Of the wind across soul-scented

Barns and old plowed fields…

Long before our silent questions

Became aware of potentiality

And their scattered companions (answers)…

Conversely, it was “just us”,

Painted in the sheen's of love prompt,

With poignant looks at life and laughter.

Long before roots remember

soil’s drifted fragrances,

Or the five senses of the truest form,

Away from all common places.

Long before wishful thinking,

Merit and demerit,

Even instruments knowing their plectrums;

I read your eyes! I fathomed the silence we spoke constantly!

I loved you!

I love the idea of love that may or may not have been predestined. It gives me cause to think; were all the loves of my life predestined before I was ever born? Did I have a choice? Hmm...

Wow. This subject is still highly debatable. Some say love is a choice and others say it is predestined like the idea of soulmates. This poem is about reading one,s soul through their eyes of love, the knowing within the heart about "the one", the listening through the eternal silence to its melody. I believe there is that soulful or spiritual connection before the physical for we are all.or most of us are looking for the other "half" to complete us. Some people go through so many relationships and they fail only to succeed in finding the one. So, they had the choice but it was not the right choice for they did not experience the highest form of love. I believe there are different levels of love as much as anything in life. Even in faith too. Seven is the no. of completion. That is why there are 7 levels of intellectual, spiriual and physical awareness or awakening. Thank you for all...:).....
