Perched to fly off into the unknown…A romance poem.

The Poem:

 

The wind stops its whips

The rain halts its drips

The candle burns its tips

The ocean idles its ships

Death tightens its grips

Luck plays its many chips

The joker shares his quips

A lady shows off her hips

The traveler longs for trips

A trace is found on blips

My name perches sadly

on your lethargic lips!

I like how you successfully made this into an interesting likeable piece. Using the same kind of rhyming words is harder then it looks especially trying to make the words all fit together to tell a meaningful story- which I thought you did a great job at that. Great writing
