Bereft: Then pen on... Note: The first line is part of a line I left Johanna on one of her poems and she liked it a lot. It gave me the inspiration to write this one...

Bereft: Pen on…

The Poem:

 

Bereft…Then pen on till the next storms of life

Heralding wind, rain, hail, sand upon terrains

Pen till ink spills out with blood, become lovers

Across somber passages, brushstroke of pains.

 

From there, earth rises to meet heavenly lights

Betwixt the lands of tremor, seas of tranquility

As soul’s canvases spell out answers to quandaries

Poet’s texts answer genesis of addled humanity.

 

Pen on till starry dust fills emptiness of dark rooms

Tracing queued walls of the heart… edgeless spaces

Embrace aching words carrying rippling worlds within

For when all crumbles, hearts compose new places.

Pen on until someone is moved to shed their defenses and release definitive tears. This poem as the poems you speak of cause a stirring deep in the crux for those of us who love reading gifted poetry or prose, hence the title. I've gotten warm under the collar over a poem and it wasn't even erotic but this is some of the effects poetry can have on you. Delicious write.
