A Petticoat  ( female ) Diary/..........By Sami Khalil
(She lived in hope , died in despair)
Her desire to be loved and to love for there were no suitors for marriage.
Based on a true story when I was growing up
)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

On those days...
She dances like wild flowers
fluted by dulcet tones
gazing in sweet sorrow
upon utter solaces.
She, who passed star-lights
became a shadow of under-toned shimmers
wandering through life's wild affections
where heavy sighs became her measured void
looking for bucolic warm glows silhouetted
in sweet sensations.

On those nights...
She cradles dreams in tender desires
in a veil of bashful smiles
where the indelible ink is saved
for someone special...for keeps.
Still, she deserves a golden ring
and a clandestine house with stepping
stones to paradise of petaled gardens
where love is tickled to death for eternity.

On those months...
She survives in timeless beauty
brush-stroking the outlines of
her erasable heart, looking for
hands to recreate her rapture d joy
living on just because; of fantasies
on rainy afternoons with no parasols
losing herself in the chill of winters.

On those years...
Constellations glow brightly
and dim softly in sashays of dusted
apparitions when she dances her
last dance!

On those diaries...

Hi Sami. A beautiful write and presentation. Elegant verse. You express her dream for love with depth in this piece. Understated yet delightfully sensual. Vivid imagery and descriptives. Very nice use of simile. Well penned. Write on!

"Oh the fondest memories, fade into the twilight. To seek what is past the stars and look for the time they have remaining is something we will never be able to access. So is the way of our integrity that breaks down over time for the journals, annals, and logs of our life are but mere sand grains in the cosmos' hourglass. Slowly trickling and never missing a beat it are like the lines of our mind when we put those thoughts together into stanzas, entries or quips.

For what diaries are but the dire aches in our heart. Ever so hurtful they last a heartbeat but never too soon they begin to beat normally again. Life in the journal world of where our hearts begin and end in the day is written and penned down figuratively and literally in our journal.

As to the fondest memory, may it just be another heartbeat in this story you tell because what is written in these pages, even the most broken of our hearts will know that it passed us by as we will all come to pass. Eventually becoming another chapter, page, and line in this diary."

Written wonderfully and penned intimately. Must be something to know that we are written in someone's journal at some point of our life.

This is very moving. A woman who wishes to be loved...but ended in gloom. I feel hope has made her alive for years...and upon losing that only thing which motivates her to live...she died in despair.

Sad but written beautifully.

This is great piece of poetry. The only thing is that I felt there were too many adjectives. Maybe others see it differently. But that's my own personal opinion. Other than that, eccelente mi amico.

The transition at the top that slowly descends to longer days, months, etc. Considered deleting the space between "rapture d joy." The tone of the poem seems rather optimistic, I enjoyed it very much :)
