Sonnet 2

Sonnet 2

A Poem by Samantha Lynn
"

anyone wanna help me out with a name??

"

You should love me no matter the distance,

But you say your feelings as if it hurts.

Why’s that? It’s as if you like to revert

To old feelings and with my resistance.

Yes, I love you, but with your existence

Of life not with me, it keeps me but alert

Your not with me, but with her, I assert

Myself so, But with this such consistence

Me out of the picture, my eyes avert

Away because it hurts so much to watch.

I now sit away until you insert

Me back into the picture, hoping for the best.

But I know you will choose her over me

I must accept that it will never be.

Beauteous. Your language is eloquent and has a certain rapture.
Some polishing - it's hard to capture images and emotions clearly with the restrictions of the syllable/rhythm scheme, e.g. 'but with your existence
Of life not with me, it keeps me but alert' and 'I assert
Myself so, But with this such consistence' - I found these lines a little bit stumbling on the first read, i think i was focussing on the words themselves instead of what they are actually expressing.
'your not with me but with her' = you're
And finally, good luck with a title :)) Most sonnet writers in my limited memory just insert the first or last line, i'm sure you can beat that
