I hope you find what you are looking for.

 

I hope you wake up in the morning

to find the sun shining down just along your cheeks

and you feel the warmth of those rays against your skin.

 

I hope, with or without those rays of sunshine,

that you find the courage to get out of  bed that morning

and every morning after that because you deserve

to live your life with nothing to pull you back under the covers.

 

I hope you find the strength to not cry in the kitchen

at the thought of having to eat breakfast

because even though that pang still resides

in your chest at the thought of gaining weight

you still deserve to look at yourself

and see someone worth living in a healthy manner.

 

I hope all of these things,

but I also recognize the struggle it takes

just to stand up every day and I wish you all the best

because one day you will wake up

and not feel sad anymore

and one day you will wake up

and feel even more depressed

and that is ok.

Struggling is a sign that you are trying.

I give you the strength to keep trying, even if you fail.
