Gardening Alone

Gardening Alone

A Poem by Samantha Lynn
"

not my best... ehhh I am a terrible writer, why do i post these Dx

"

I could talk about you for hours.

I wish I could say these things to you.

I need to release them from my brain,

but I know you won’t listen

because you are no longer here

and that hurts me so much.

These words in my brain are filling me even more,

like watermelon seeds

that you would usually spit out and forget about later.

These are the words that could grow into a field of sweet sugar,

though I am the only gardener here,

and I can’t manage this harvesting alone.
