Things don't just get better.

Things don't just get better.

A Poem by Samantha Lynn

Things don’t just get better.

You have to make them better.

You can lie in bed all day,

and cry your eyes dry.

You can eat twice your body weight in food,

or starve yourself ‘til you’re just bone.

You can b***h at others because of your bad mood,

just yell and scream until they all hate your guts,

but unless you actually get out of that bed,

nothing is going to change.

You can wallow in those thoughts of depression and anger,

but if you just sit there, they will only get bigger,

because, to be quite honest,

do you really think that you deserve to get better

by just sitting there and not changing anything.

Get up and do something,

something that’ll make you worthy of change in your life.

Otherwise, nothing is going to change.

Nothing.

I agree with your logic. We must get up and dust ourselves off and go forward. Thank you for the positive and amazing poetry.
