You.

You.

A Poem by Samantha Lynn
"

I know. This isn't my best work. Sorry. idk

"

I dream of you almost every night,

and every night is the same old thing.

In this dream,

I am telling you how I really feel.

I tell you,

“Hun, I don’t want you here anymore.

I can’t handle the way you drag me around,

and I would really love for you

to leave me the Hell alone.”

But I know that if you came up to me,

And told me to forgive you,

I would.

I for forget how fucked up you left me

and I would just be with you.

I don’t know what is more pathetic.

The fact that I would still forgive someone who broke me,

the fact that I still wish you were here,

or the fact that I am still wishing for someone

who forgot about me years ago.

Funny how the mind worked. We remember the good moments over the bad. I took a woman back three times. Each time we became less happy. Second chances don't work. People don't change. I do understand the poem. We must learn by trial and error. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

No work is ever our best work. We always have something greater inside, and as we learn we get better at what we do.

...and don't apologize for expressing your thoughts. You're doing fine, though you ARE pretty hard on yourself.
