Grandmother

Grandmother

A Poem by Samantha Lynn
"

yes this is kind of.... vulgar? disturbing? depressing? I don't really know yet. thoughts???

"

“Grandmother”

That term can be tossed around lots

A grandmother is someone who cares

Someone to vent to

To turn to when thinks seen ever so bleak

To get money from each visit

Even when I refuse to accept.

A house to sleep over at

When I just cannot take life anymore.

But you?

You don’t deserve such a title

And I feel bad that I feel this way

Because in a way it was my fault what happened

But I just cannot deal with your anymore.

You haunt my past

With what you have done

The images float through my head constantly

You will be gone soon

Forever

And I am still deciding if I can handle that or not.

Your words are true. A Grandmother should be the kind person in your life. I believe sometime you must set the example and be the kind person. I like how you set-up the ending. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
