Sometimes the mind can play tricks on us, or do we just think so?

"

The first time he saw his old friend was a welcomed sight since his death had been hard to accept, but the realistic apparitions continued. Ted began to question whether they were visions or actual visitations from whatever world Bud now dwelled.

 

Ted’s wife Georgina grew weary of it all, as if Ted were orchestrating these sightings. "Are you crazy?“ she asked. He simply blinked the memory of Bud from his eyes, and shrugged. “Bud is dead! You hear me? Dead!“

 

“Dead for sure,” said the state trooper, peering into the mangled Corvette. “Ted and Georgina Cook. Neighbors of mine.
