FUGITIVE

FUGITIVE

A Poem by Salvatore Buttaci
"

When I was a boy who delighted in reading books, I wished I could be outgoing like my classmates. When I grew to be an outgoing man, I missed those timid days. Who are we anyway?

"

I am a fugitive from a puzzle factory

A jigsaw piece in cardboard rebellion

A misfit bored with pat expectations

Odd-shaped

complete and incomplete

Not a team player

A fugitive in hiding
