DECORUM

DECORUM

A Poem by Salvatore Buttaci
"

When will we learn that love when true is pure without the deception of artificial additives?

"

afraid of love

they fabricate an arboretum

of plastic elms & cardboard oaks

with leaves that need

neither sun nor rain

only a weekly dusting

to maintain the facade

of presentability

it is an interesting thought, the love you mean is selfless love.... so rare.... thank you for submitting it to my contest. such a poem also gives guidance....at least, where to love shouldn't go..
