salt

salt

A Poem by samaveiled

maybe it was the salt of your skin on my tongue,
or the salt of your sweat, falling in my eyes,
then sliding down my cheeks like shared tears
but for one moment, i was awake again.

taking breaths

feeling your flesh under my fingertips

our spirits mingling

and then, my eyes slipped shut again
and i am lost, awash in the thunder
striking into the depths of my secrets
that ive only shared with the moon, before you.
