A Poem by samaveiled

He fell in love with me then-
in the winter- hidden
underneath layers of my secrets
he loved me anyway, for
I drew the truth
on frost bitten windows
as he grinned knowingly.
Understanding
more than i meant him to.

I spread my love across him
through my lips,
fairly painting it
across his flesh.
He never knows.
how the softest kisses
are my confessions,
fingers tripping
over the lines of his silhouette-
layed out in the moonlight,
then the sunlight,
then hidden away (safe and sound) till next time...

He touches me
like i am a porcelain doll,
like i will break...
then,
in his next breath
sucks my soul into his lungs;
while thrusting
like the thunder itself.
Shaking
the firmament of reality,
but he doesnt know i feel this.

I run,
as soon as the sun
bleeds through the blinds,
i run.
Before he knows hes won,
i run.
Fast, and far!
Across the railroad tracks of my youth,
back to the hood
i know how to survive in.
