scenting

scenting

A Poem by samaveiled

like a beer,

hard to swallow,

amber bittersweet,

warming my blood.

the lips of my

love

are numb.

not quite tingling.

not quite cold.

just searching.

scenting;

your aura through my tongue

but its not enough

just this breath

of you

leaves me starving

and anxious

the w/hole

in the bottle

where our thoughts bleed together

(only in this place)

leaks my secret tears

into reality

tearing off the veil

i will stand alone in you

drowning

in one another

all tangled lips

and grasping hands

we realize we were never alone...
