Drive

Drive

A Poem by Rebekah Joy
"

I quote Something Corporate's Konstantine

"

Drive faster
faster
faster
don't slow down
don't stop
don't look back
just drive faster

Then maybe forget,
everything behind you
you can forget about him
you can go to some different place
and pretend he never existed
you don't have to live your mistakes
the reasons why he left you.
you deserved it
you really did
and now you are paying for you mistakes

turn the stereo up
[It's to a girl who got into my head, With all the fucked up things I did]
drown out the world
you've changed
you won't make the same mistakes twice
[hopefully]
forget about the past
live for today
and Drive

I love the idea, but I think your words are too simplistic. I can see the beginning you're running away from something, but if you used words that aren't repetitive, like 'faster' 'slow', etc, that you could have a stronger poem!
