Strawberry PieA Poem by SamanthaGalliThere are so many ways I envision our love Yeah I just wanna wrap my legs around you as you pick me up Boy I don’t know what your deal is, are you afraid that I’m dangerous? Well it might be true, but aside from that I’m a fool for you. So many guys want me to be their’s, but you’re who I want, let’s get crazy who even cares. You’re over thinking it a little too much, let’s just go out to lunch. Pink lemonade and white sunshine, this weather makes me to die. Cause I can’t have you. Flowers in my hair, let me be your 70’s child, We can lay out at night and see how the star’s create beautiful constellations, think about how we’re born to live not just exist. Then we can go inside and lose ourselves to reckless abandon, vodka and a fuzzy television screen. Fast forward I don’t even know where we are some dead end diner on a random street, but I order some strawberry pie, and the sugar’s sweet. So what you're older, I'll be your little strawberry lady. I live life fast but I would slow it way down for you, I need something to fall back on its true. But my heart has been through it all, and I can’t afford another downfall. I try to get your attention in not so subtle ways, dreaming of you is how I spend my days.
