Invisible Lives

Invisible Lives

A Story by Saman Fatima

There are people who spend their entire life being invisible to the world. They are not ones having some wizardly power or wearing any cloak of invisibility. But the world treat them as if their existence and lives are unseeable to them. In social groups they wish someone would ask them to talk but that never happens and they remain there, sitting silently, smiling while others speak, and leaves the party with everyone else, being invisible. They wish that someone would ask them about their absence but that never happens. They wish to speak about how they feel, what they think, what they like and what makes them gloomy, but nobody ever ask them about who they are. They wished to be appreciated about their talents, about their great deeds. But they remain there unappreciated, unnoticed and invisible in this loud world.
They do struggle in their life. To get their goals and make the world proud of them. But all their success never gets appreciated beyond the 7 letters 'congrats'. Just because they never like to brag about their day and night struggles, no body ever tries to hear their success stories.
They do have heart that sometimes aches. But they are not among those who shed big tears and flowery morn so their silent cries remains invisible. Unasked.
In the end they die, asking their own existence. They die the silent death like the silent life the have been living for years.
These invisible individuals are present everywhere, in your family or among your friends. You see them everyday without noticing the difference they are creating with their lives. Next time you meet them just try to give them a warm smile, ask about how their day is going, you know that will make their day. Cause you know they don't want big things from this world, they just want to be noticed that they also exist in this world.

A fantastic piece of thought and realistic to the core!
Such people are actual gems whose worth cannot be realized by a shallow society.
Really liked the choice of topic and the flow of writing, Saman. Well done!

Thanks a lot Noor!! :)
I really love the topic of this story. It represents a good deal of the world, caught in a net by society, deceived off their personal destiny. I too agree with all the topics presented here, and the presentation is quite well shown. Just a few grammar errors: Just because they never ¨like¨ instead of likes. Overall though it is great!
