Icarus, lend thy angel wings,
For the Lord's choir softly sings, God's wrath rain'th upon me, Flew too close to his glory, His power melted my angel form, Fell from Heaven by bitter scorn, Icarus, do lend me so, Cast to the Earth ages ago, Icarus, Have you not but tried? Take the leap and see if you can fly-
