Cold Desert
A Poem by
Trevor
My favourite one that I've written
In this majestic scene Under the black sun I can only search for this angel Who watches over me I would run and run forever And discover the five horizons Revolved around her soul Once she leaves this earth I will find my way home And out of this desert She comes back to me in a dream And repeats words that heal My past of nightmares "Just Breathe"

FYI: The desert can be very cold, cold enough to kill.
Your poem captures the bleakness, followed by the gift of warmth to save us.

. ah, magnifique! ... the splendour of your words echoes in the cold desert ... they say it doesn't rain in november ... but maybe this time it will ... in august ... for november ... you don't speak of hope here ... you speak of resilience ... brilliantly written ...
