random

all clouds have gathered

planets have  decorated the milky way

as today is sun's birthday

 

Sirius has sent a blessing letter

moon has cooked sun' favorite eclipse

 

the sun is a year older today

shining even brighter and wiser

as has a cherry on his cake

experience flavored

 his mistress earth has secretly made love with him

and that's what he rejoice like a sacred hymn

 

the celebration has begun

with great pomp and show

 

the sun is the hero

decked up with royal  cold spot

  

the  big day ends and the sun sleeps  again

the moon as usual shows unconditional love  

and stays  awake all night to guard her vermilion 

from the evil eyes of the cuckolding earth

A very unusual ode to an astronomical event. This poem reminded me of the summer solstice, a time to celebrate the full glory of the sun. Conjuring images of the earth as the sun's mistress was something new and unique. Way to go Sakshi!
