Monstrosities with eyes of piercing fireA Poem by sakiasenThe nightlight fears of birds and squirrels alikeAlways in search for another roadside victim Animal or man is nothing but a passing thought to the
treads of it's tires The slave tied down behind its glass forehead knows not
that their fate is dire Can that which does not have remorse have need for rest
or even the need to retire?
You can find them huddled beneath brightly lit and
vaulted huts Even millionaires can’t fully satisfy the oil baron’s evil
mirth Tyrants of black gold seek sacred sacrifices of the soul Not blood money made from fiat
Unfocused minds resemble an inescapable tomb All of our ancestors rest within nature’s womb Their hunger for the lifeblood of our earth barely puts a
twist in the CEO’s guts even when their fate’s end buys them a vacation spent
in fire To inhale too much of their exhaled breath brings only an
end I wonder if anyone else feels like a young tree that has
been placed at the bottom of the sea? Never to again be able to throw out their seed Balance is the key; time and corrosion the metallic
beast’s enemy When the earth’s veins run dry despite the outcry whose
blood will it next try? Such things makes my mind grow wings causing my body forget how to walk and learn instead to …… fly Ignore the deceptions because all they know how to do is kill and then die. © 2014 sakiasenAuthor's Note
