The Long Winter Night

The Long Winter Night

A Poem by sajen ali

Blow of cold wind through my window
Makes me bound to close them.
Even though I keep watching the fogs.

Pond water surface is reflecting the front light of my neighbors house
Like a dancing torch.
A sudden thought like a dew drop sounds on tin roof.
And lost in atmosphere.
Night guards whistle can't stop my sense to wander on street.
It passes smiling at the brown uniformed man
He can't notice it.

It reaches my lovers room.
Gets warm under the blanket along with her.
I am here far from my soul.
My eyes are seeing the deep shadow of coconut leaves.

Moon light pierces fog's castle;
Conquered his land and posses my heart.
She can't see the moon as my soul is dreaming with her sleepy night.
I got myself lost.
In the long winter night.
