Blind Hearts, Blind Eyes... Your Love and My DeceptionA Poem by Saint No-OneA poem written between myself and an old lover.
These blinded eyes they cannot see
The answer to my tragedy What love that lies in front of me What do your eyes see? You speak to me of unknown beauty Your loving heart's a fallacy Men of old say love is blind What love then can blind men find? Your heart is blind and so is mine And yet our crippled hearts entwine... ...I may be blind, but you are deaf Deaf to the details I try to correct As correct is to sick an wrong Wrong as the songs The songs they sing They, the people who lie Scratching at out eardrums until they die Until we're deaf Deaf to understand what this poem meant What love means What I be Even now I cannot see You, your love, your face! My dear I may not see, but I hear The words I so dreadfully fear I hear the words that break the spell The spell I love too well Your spell, it set me free Free from the disaster they sing Free to be just me. © 2013 Saint No-One |
