Broken cobblestones

Broken cobblestones

A Poem by sailesh
"

The world build so perfectly has come to a collapse

"

The cobblestones I paved are starting to crack,
and it’s all coming down to crumbles.
The road I took, less traveled by,
has led me to a dead end.

Where do I go now?
I promised myself I wouldn’t sleep"
for there are miles to go,
and the pavement is still so cold.

I don’t see the light,
and the tunnel is about to end.
In fact, the deeper I get into this labyrinth,
the darker it gets.

The road is bumpy, the sidewalks untrimmed.
My heart tells me, “Go a little bit deeper,”
but I want to get out of this maze.

I want to choose the road not taken,
where the pavements are clean,
where the slates are clear.

The pavements won’t crush my bones
if I fall asleep.

Well written, this poem is on the dark side...cracked cobble stones...a bumpy road... to where? it seems to get darker and darker...reflecting your mood....which many of us have moments like this...your words show us this emotion quite well and the struggle to escape to the light.
Warmly, B

“The cobblestones I paved are starting to crack” is a very engaging, first line. This reminded me of the journey and lessons of life. Sometimes we take roads that lead us to nowhere and have to start again or go a little further. Very well written. Thank you for sharing.
