Sometimes I miss the wreck

Sometimes I miss the wreck

A Poem by sailesh
"

Sometimes I miss the toxicity, the passion, the deep deep deep shade of love we had for each other, but you let the shade o red tarnish and turn into something ugly.

"

Like a siren you walk,

and like a banshee I scream.

Your doe eyed gaze all upon me.

The shipwreck we live in,

built with tapestries of hurt

we'd build together again but this time

embroidered with love.

and thus when you'd lay your eyes again

I'd perchance not scream

nothing dead in our broken ship

just the treasures we'd keep

the smile would grow wide again

and the pearls thus bestowed upon me

heartbeat would spell your name

and for the life we could live

far far away from this haunted island

in our new-old broken ship

the banshee won't scream

cause the death would live

the stones we fight with

we could turn them into jewels

I take this as the writer misses the abuse, the breakdown and breakups of a sour relationship that was not meant to be.
Best of luck.
