Parody of 'Yesterday'

Parody of 'Yesterday'

A Poem by Kevin Mulqueen
"

I wrote this to show my students what a parody was.

"

Parody of The Beatles’ YESTERDAY

Yesterday, Chelsea’s troubles seemed so far away

Now they cannot win on Saturday

Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly they’re not half the team they used to be

Their football really saddens me

Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why he had to go

I don’t know, he didn’t say

Mourinho was the best, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday, football was such an easy game to play

Now Chelsea are in disarray

Oh, I believe in yesterday.
