CARRY FORWARD

CARRY FORWARD

A Poem by SAGAR

If I could…"carry forward" all... to another new life
Unfinished tasks… haunt us throughout, can you complete it, in this life…

Or, if you could, try to "carry forward" these... to another life?

To earn… loads of money, to stay ahead is a predominant wish for every one as always have to toil hard, all through. Few are successful, whilst few are not but the greed always makes one think to "carry forward" the same, next time, next day, every day, in another life...

To find... solace in mind, body and soul is a characteristic dream for each one, have to wander here and there, some go to temples, some to hills, whilst some find it in family and children. A few lucky ones get it, and a few never. The contemplation to find tranquility never dies, always one has to "carry forward" it the next time, next day, every day, in another life...

To remain... in love, remain blessed is a surmounting need for each one, always have to sacrifice, make a compromise, a few find it in themselves and are in satiety, want to live more, a few do not, still search somewhere... in the walls, in the mirror… the crave to find true love makes one think to "carry forward"… may not in this life... but may be the next one, in another life...

If I could... try to "carry forward" you, me, my own self, my dreams, my wishes, my everything… to another new life?
...can I, can you, can we all…?

A wonderful and thought provoking path - immediately reminded me of the quote "the Obstacle is the path". We have much to learn this lifetime, much knowledge to gain and set free much wisdom to grasp. Can you just imagine how many people would take a zip-line out of this life and into the next if they could - man the next life would be hectic and chaotic and I imagine kinda misshapen, Thanks for writing this - you made me think on the zag instead of on the zig X

You are welcome :)
Life isn't easy. It is important never to give up, but keep persevering. Yes, some people will not attain what they want, but most people give up too soon. Every day is a new opportunity. People who are satisfied will not grow and succeed. You have to be hungry and seize each day. Make a plan and get done what you can. The bottom line is not to rest on your laurels, as the saying goes.

Thanks for the review.
A great poem that offers quite valid thoughts and inquisitions. I very much enjoyed reading your words, as they paint a perspective less viewed. Great job crafting this one!

Thanks a lot.
Isn’t every life a new life, a new chance to get it right? Perhaps we may enjoy our next life all the more without introducing all that heavy baggage from past lives. Here’s a tiny gift poem which you may keep:

Desire

May we master desire,
that all consuming fire,
that abysmal mire
filled with ancient ire.

Thanks for the add on..
A free verse style to this write...
I see you used the script form to get the points across...
the catch phrase "carry forward" acts like an inner voice...
gets at the reader as you go about explaining in details...
with each stanza that comes into play...
and yet in the end...
you give us the question....
and rally with the suggestion for our own...
what gives this piece life also is...
the momentary pause in the start of each stanza...

I loved this poem Sagar. I understood what you clearly wrote and agree with you. We are all 'restless human beings" searching for fulfillment any way one can. Can we hang on to it all and carry it forward? An interesting question and an interesting and unique write. Thank you for sharing.
