I have a sore throat because I talk to much

I talk to much because I have too much to say

And I’m sick of hiding behind the curtains that I am chained to on the inside

I am sick of everyone keeping their opinions inside their minds

When they know something is wrong

They keep their words pushed down into the empty pit of their hungry stomach because

One: They’re holding onto that lump inside and one day are going to burst

Two: Because they’re starving themselves for someone else that is extremely irrelevant

I am tired of still seeing humans not speaking

I am sick of seeing pain in people’s eyes

And I am completely and utterly disappointed that I live in a world

Where my own species is afraid of punishment by opinion

I am scared that humanity as we know it will evolve into a society where no one listens to their own conscience anymore
