S.O.S

S.O.S

A Poem by Matthew L. Arcelay

has she lost that vibrant sound?
forgive me the shadows in me question
salvations anger neglected to answer
i caught her thoughts on a ham radio
scattered through static ... her tears spelling out S.O.S
frantic breaths paused on hoplessness
find me i'm lost
broken message comes across
they left me to die alone hanging by a thread
your not alone i said ... forgive the distance but your not alone
cast aside and burried before my own eyes i'm digging but the sand keeps falling in
i trespass over bruised heartbeats to find her by voice
hanging by a thread being burried in the sand
i reach out my hand and smile so she understands
i'm scared
she whispers before letting go
the ground swallows me whole and i cry
head to the sky i see a dove wave goodbye
form behind a whisper says
hello
