smoking sunshine

smoking sunshine

A Poem by Matthew L. Arcelay

Smoking sunshine blinded by the day
tears shed
tears shed
hearts bled
hearts bled...
when will the madness end?
happy tunes..
NO
just sad songs
who SAID we could do no wrong?
THEY lied
we ALL cried
why? so many people died
one moment lost
time ticks
now two
how many more
hearts drop
bodies hit the floor
blind eyes turned
but life is hard to ignore
~i whisper ~
so YOU can't hear my thoughts
but i hear
the words are clear
tattletale winds tell all
how many more have to fall?
who has an answer?
i have no answer
i want an answer!
is there no answer?
the madness holds my hand
but i shrug away.. it's not my friend
my eye's blind.... but not my mind
one time....
~ one time ~
can't we just have one time
I look to find an answer
but all i see is smoking sunshine
