Broken

Broken

A Poem by Matthew L. Arcelay
"

written as i of the storm

"

broken
yes broken i wonder
what's the heavyweight
gravity anxiety
I I I .... excuse myself I am me
impeeded by my own speech
blind to the ways of society
or so i am told
over and over
cause i don't know any better and
i need everything spelled out to the letter
i paused for peace on crowded streets
planted a peach tree in the heart of main
so i could pass by every day and wave to her
as she fades in a cloud
think i'll drink to her hapiness
with a prayer for me to fall back into ignorance
loled to sleep by the pittapatta of
high horses riding off into the blackened sunset
counting sheep branded no regret
