Two snakes

Two snakes

A Poem by CK Kimball

Haze and phase was just a craze.
- This air tastes of failure and meat.
Lying back in fluffed cushions filled with sand.
- The golden winged dragon chases on.
Lights low, music up.
- The poison pumps through my vein.
The clock ticks in time with my heart.
- Yours was still and your breathing shallow.
My hands dragging through your skin.
- The mandolin of flesh cries in tune with the symphony of sin.
Your hair matting with your own salty sweat as the heat rises between you and I.
- The night air softly licking at our shame.
Our bodies entwined in the candlelight.
- Two snakes coiled together and not holding back.
