I am still mourning.

I am still mourning.

A Poem by CK Kimball

I am still mourning.
But not for you.

I am still mourning.
Who I once was.
Who I could have been.
And who we will never be.

But I don’t weep for you.
Oh no. I won’t waste one tear on you.
For you were never worth my time.

I weep for me.
I weep for who I lost when I became We.

We was toxic.
We was hate.
We was that sludge that clings to the insides of sinks.
We was everything that stood in the way of me.
