Pin Cushion

Pin Cushion

A Poem by CK Kimball

Been used and abused - Every definition of the word .

My heart can’t take being shattered again. Should just back away now and live in solitude.

From the moment I was born, the world held me down. Nearly drowned under the weight of it all.

Life love and the pursuit of happiness.

-

What the hell does that mean? I’m here to be your pin cushion.

-                    Dig those needles deeper.

At night I think about the past, present and future and wonder if the gift of tomorrow will be that of an April fools joke or

the true brightly lit package I deserve.

“I’ll love you forever. I’ll always be there for you” Just words with no meaning anymore.

All you wanted me to be was your maid, your cook and your w***e.

Now I’m going to dig those needles deeper.
